NCAA coaching muscle
SFU’s football team has added some National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I talent to its coaching staff with the hiring of Jason Beck (above) as its new offensive coordinator. Beck, a former Brigham Young University (BYU) backup quarterback, spent the last three seasons as the quarterback coach at Weber State and was a graduate assistant coach at BYU. At Weber, his quarterbacks consistently led one of the best offences in the NCAA’s football championship series. Prior to that, he was a graduate assistant coach with the NCAA Division I powerhouse Louisiana State University Tigers for two seasons.
