“Scottish Voices from the West”, an oral history project from SFU’s Centre for Scottish Studies, details the stories of some of the many Scottish immigrants who helped build BC. One of the voices belongs to former BC Lieutenant Governor Iona Campagnolo, who talks about her Scottish ancestors. The project was started in 2004 using cassette tapes. The original interviews have now been digitized and, together with the new interviews, can be found in an online searchable database: at.sfu.ca/LBhLJo. They will eventually form part of the SFU Library’s Multicultural Canada website.
