Catalina Parra spent three months last summer in Bolivia with three other SFU students researching the outcomes of community economic development (CED) projects undertaken by SFU’s Centre for Sustainable Community Development over the past five years. On Nov. 7, the students will talk about their experiences and SFU’s Bolivia CED during their public presentation, “Research and Learning: Students Reflect on Sustainable Community Development in Bolivia.” It runs from 6-8 p.m. at SFU Vancouver, Harbour Centre Rm. 1600. Parra, a fourth-year student with a double major in international studies and Latin American Studies, travelled throughout the country to interview CED project participants by phone and in person.
