Following their convincing win over the Western Washington University Vikings Feb. 9, the SFU women’s basketball team has moved up to eighth spot in the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll rankings this week.

The Clan is in second place in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, surpassing their cross-border competitors in the national rankings and is the highest ranked team in the West Region.

The Feb. 9 win marked the Clan’s first conference victory over WWU since joining the GNAC in 2010.

The USA Today Sports board of coaches is made up of 33 head coaches at Division II institutions. All are members of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
