Students at SFU, BCIT and Vancouver Community College may soon move easily between institutions as they search for the perfect mix of courses and experiences.

A new memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed earlier this month will guide the three post-secondary institutions as they prepare to collaborate for the benefit of students.

“This is a co-operative, 21st century approach to post-secondary education,” says SFU’s VP Academic Jon Driver. “It recognizes that the roadmap to a fulfilling education and successful career today is not always a direct line from A to B.”

The MOU spells out a series of activities for sharing expertise, removing transfer barriers, exploring joint program-development and delivery, establishing joint research partnerships and partnering in community engagement initiatives.
