Three SFU women’s basketball players have been named to the 2012-13 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic all-conference team.

Kristina Collins, a biomedical physiology student with a 3.70 grade-point average (GPA), made it onto the team for a third consecutive year. Clan sophomores Katie Lowen and Kia Van Laare were also named to the team.

Lowen is an arts student with a 3.39 GPA. Van Laare is studying kinesiology and has a 3.27 GPA.

To be eligible for the academic team, student athletes must earn a letter, have a minimum GPA of 3.20 and be completing at least their second year of eligibility at their university
