Hall of Fame CFL and NFL quarterback Warren Moon will be the keynote speaker at the 2013 Gathering of the Clan breakfast fundraiser May 3 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West. Moon, who played six years with the Edmonton Eskimos, “is perfect for this event and for him to join us is an honour,” says Milton Richards, senior director of athletics and recreation. “He is someone who understands what it means to be a student-athlete in the NCAA and has strong ties to Canadian football, thanks to his time in the CFL in addition to his illustrious career in the NFL.” This is the fourth year for the Gathering of the Clan, which in its first three years raised more than $750,000 for athletic scholarships.
