November 20, 2014

The honours keep pouring in for Simon Fraser University Clan volleyball middle-blocker Madeline Hait.

The senior who helped lead the Clan to its first winning season in the NCAA Division II has been voted to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team.

She is also one of three Clan volleyball players selected to the 2014 GNAC Academic All-Conference team.

Hait finished sixth in the GNAC in hitting percentage (.291) and second in blocks (1.17). She also had 162 kills this season. The business major carries a 3.60 grade point average (out of a possible 4.33) and plan to pursue a career in law.

The Clan ended its 2014 campaign with a 17-9 overall record and the program's first winning record and best season since 2010. The team finished fifth in the GNAC standings with an 11-7 conference record, two places ahead of 2013's seventh place finish.
