SFU Library extends hours for final exams

The SFU Library’s Burnaby and Surrey campus branches are extending their hours again this year to give students more library study time for fall-term final exams.

Burnaby’s WAC Bennett Library will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week from Monday, Nov. 17 to Sunday, Dec. 14.  Surrey’s Fraser Library will offer extended hours (below) from Monday, Dec. 1 to Saturday, Dec. 13. The Vancouver campus Belzberg Library will be open regular hours throughout the exam period.

The WAC Bennett Library’s regular hours are:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

After regular Bennett Library hours, there will be:

  • Study space throughout the library
  • No access to Reserves
  • No staff for assistance
  • Self-checkout of materials only
  • Security in the building all night

Fraser Library’s extended hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. -12 a.m. (study hall only 9 p.m.-12 a.m.)
  • Friday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. (study hall only 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.)
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. (study hall only 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.)
  • Sunday: Closed

Belzberg Library (Vancouver) regular hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m
