SFU again ranked as a top Canadian employer

For the tenth consecutive year, Simon Fraser University has been named one of Canada’s best employers in the Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition.

According to Mediacorp, the organization behind the annual contest, the competition grades employers across the country according to eight criteria, including workplace atmosphere, total compensation, and employee engagement.

Three A+ ratings

SFU was awarded three A+ ratings for its physical workplaces, health and family-friendly benefits, and training and skills development. As well, the University was praised for encouraging employees to continue their education; for offering generous maternity leave including top-up payments for parents and onsite daycare; and for its physical amenities such as lounges and fitness facilities.

Sandi de Domenico, associate vice-president, human resources, says it’s the combination of all of these factors that has helped SFU maintain its status as one of Canada’s top employers, year over year.
