SFU physics welcomes new astrophysicist

Astrophysicist Joanna Woo has joined SFU’s Department of Physics where she will teach quantum mechanics and astronomy, and gradually assume management of the Trottier Observatory on the Burnaby campus.

She’ll also be taking on the Starry Nights program and astronomy outreach workshops from professor Howard Trottier, who founded these popular events. She holds an MSc in physics and a PhD in astrophysics from Hebrew University.
