About SFU NOW
SFU NOW allows you to start or resume a degree or supplement another academic program while working full-time. We have developed the program to meet your specific needs.
Fit a degree into your life
Developed for people who work 30 or more hours a week, SFU NOW courses are regular undergraduate courses from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology. Classes take place in the evenings and on weekends at SFU’s Vancouver and Surrey campuses. After completing all the required courses, you'll earn the same Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree as a full-time SFU student.
Choose a major and/or minor
We offer courses in communications, criminology, English, humanities, international studies, political science, sociology, history, geography, psychology, economics, philosophy, computer science, and earth sciences. You can discuss graduation requirements with an undergraduate advisor after you are admitted.

*Please note that you may complete a BA with a double minor.
To find more information about a specific major or minor, please visit the SFU Calendar.
Finish a degree or take a few undergraduate courses
As an SFU NOW student, you may enrol in any SFU undergraduate course we offer online, during the day, in the evenings, or on weekends. If you are pursuing another academic program, you may still take electives through SFU NOW.
Study at your own pace
You can enrol in as many or as few courses as you like. Take at least one SFU NOW course every three semesters to maintain your SFU NOW student status and all of its benefits.
Get priority registration
Upon admission to SFU, you will have access to all SFU courses, but you will be able to register for SFU NOW courses before other SFU students.
Enjoy the same benefits as full-time student
SFU NOW has the same admission process, tuition, curriculum and student fees as SFU’s full-time undergraduate programs. You will learn from the same instructors and receive the same benefits as all other SFU students.
Benefit from diverse perspectives
The diversity of students in SFU NOW’s courses will enrich your learning experience by bringing many different perspectives to the classroom.
