MICHAEL BOUCHER

Michael has played a pivotal role in the development of SFU Woodward’s Cultural Programs & Partnerships from its inception in 2010. Under his guidance, SFU WCP remains a dynamic presenter of experimental creations with an emphasis on leading edge practices with technology and storytelling. Michael’s producing expertise is exemplified in the successful presentations of the 2010 Inaugural Program, the creation of Bah Humbug!, Hidden Past/Digital Futures, Launch Festival for Emerging Artists, Transmissions and Wells Hills. His background includes: Director of the World Stage Festival, Toronto International Children’s Festival, Creative Head/Program Manager - Knowledge Network; and independent stage and film work spanning 70 projects including Bailey’s Law.

JANICE BELEY

Janice has been involved in some form of the performing arts since she was 11 years old and in 1986 became involved with theatre first as an usher, front of house manager and then stage manager for many Fringe shows over the years. A graduate of the Capilano Arts Management program in 2000 she has been working in the cultural arts as a publicist, marketing director, general manager and producer for the last 21 years.

Lori arrived after at SFU Woodward's after her time at the Vancouver International Film Festival. SFU is homecoming for Lori as she worked for many years at SFU's Advancement office during the construction of the Vancouver Campus, a post she left to raise her children and explore numerous volunteer opportunities in her community and beyond. Lori is happy to be back at the GCA Campus in this amazing cultural milieu and collaborating with artists and students. Her love of working in the arts is matched by her family, pets, and chocolate.

KAELYNN SHINKARUK

Kaelynn discovered her love for for the arts through dance. She completed her undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University in the Faculty of Communication, Art, and Technology specializing in Dance and Communications in April 2020. Currently, she is studying in the Global Communication Double MA Degree Program at Simon Fraser University. She finds inspiration for her work through an interdisciplinary approach of intertwining digital media with the arts. She strongly believes in the role that arts can play in having a positive impact in society. By nurturing local, national, and international partnerships, Kaelynn looks forward to engaging with the arts community through her work with SFU Woodward’s Cultural Community Programs.
