About the Speaker:

Michael Unger has been an astronomy educator for over 11 years. He is the co-founder of Nerd Nite Vancouver, an informal monthly bar lecture series now going into its 4th year. Each month Nerd Nite brings a variety of people to talk about their science, art, or other nerdy passions to the stage to talk with a curious audience. He is also a proud team member of Sci-CATS, the Science Communication Action Team, which creates and delivers accessible science communication training. His own passions of course are space, but also Star Wars, pinball, and fine cheeses.

Learn more about Michael Unger by reading a recent short interview in the Creative Mornings Vancouver.

About Creative Mornings

In 2008, Tina Roth Eisenberg (Swissmiss) started CreativeMornings out of a desire for an ongoing, accessible event for New York’s creative community. The concept was simple: breakfast and a short talk one Friday morning a month. Every event would be free of charge and open to anyone.

Today, attendees gather in cities around the world to enjoy fresh coffee, friendly people, and an international array of breakfast foods. Volunteer hosts and their team members organize local chapters that not only celebrate a city’s creative talent, but also promote an open space to connect with like-minded individuals.

The growing archive of past breakfast talks is humbling. From design legends to hometown heroes, speakers are selected by each chapter based on a global theme. CreativeMornings remains free thanks to the support of local sponsors, generous venues, and longterm partners.

Anyone can attend. Register a profile at creativemornings.com to be alerted to the next Creative Mornings Vancouver event.

Additional Info: Due to popularity causing tickets to sell out too quickly, CM Van uses a waitlist as a registration system (please register only once) from which they randomly award tickets using a lottery system. Anyone can attend.

If you cannot use your ticket, please inform Creative Mornings ASAP so they can allocate the ticket to individuals on waitlist. Remaining applicants will remain on the waitlist and be informed if a ticket becomes available. Anyone who hasn’t checked in by 8:45am on morning of the event forfeits their tickets. For more information see the Creative Mornings Vancouver website.
