Student Support & Resources
University is a time of independent study and learning. While there are instructors and teaching assistants to help students learn, it is up to you seek out the resources to make the most of your university experience. The faculty and staff are here to support you. Take advantage of the resources available to all SFU Students.
SIAT encourages students to engage with their community through TechTeams and TechBytes. Many students who attend workshops, tutorials and socials, then find it rewarding to give back to their community by volunteering to become a Peer Educator in TechBytes or a TechTeam leader. SIAT encourages you to engage with your community.
Techteams is a great way to get introduced to the SIAT program, including getting to know instructors, alumni, senior students, and faculty, co-op, SIAT concentrations, and much more! Each Techteams session is run by a fellow SIAT students and your First Year Advisor, so if you have any questions or concerns we would be more than happy to help you out with them.
TechTeam sessions are on Mondays from 12:30 to 2:20pm in SUR 3330. All students welcome to attend!
The TechBytes program provides students in IAT courses with software & technical support to enhance learning needs across the SIAT curriculum. The program offers individual consultations as well as group workshops.
