Deadline Extended for Western Consortium Graduate Conference CFP

New deadline for proposals is Wednesday, March 1st, 2017.

The Hellenic Studies Program at California State University, Sacramento invites submissions for the Third Annual Western Consortium for Hellenic Studies Graduate Student Conference. The theme for this year’s conference will be Byzantine, Ottoman, and Modern Greek Studies in an Interdisciplinary World and will take place in Sacramento, CA on March 9, 10, and 11th.

Conference organizers are especially interested in proposals that reflect the broad range of research being conducted in Byzantine, Ottoman, and Modern Greek Studies. Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of Hellenic Studies, proposals are welcome from a wide range of disciplines across the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Current and recent graduate students interested in participating in this year’s conference are requested to submit a proposal of not more than 250 words. There is some funding available to assist with travel costs. Please indicate in your proposal whether you are also applying for a travel grant.
