COMMENTARY

1. Note the relatively quiet ambience in station. Good sequence: Train arrives, steam valves, door slams, steam valves again, train exits.

2. Better levels in this sequence; small bell rings as train departs, afterwards reverberant footsteps; some hammering.

3. Good sequence with metro disappearing into tunnel as cadence.

7. Nice siren and horn.

8, 9. Buzz signal (fairly pure tone) before departure.

10. Same buzz signal before departure. Quieter ride on new train. It's like a whoosh.

13. Construction ambience, very loud. Note rumble is not train leaving, but baggage wagons.

16. Disturbance in right channel at beginning of take. New turnstiles, nice rhythm; in background, signal for departure of metro (see takes 8-10).

17. "Michael Row the Boat" in French.

19. Busy ambience; people talking, callers, footsteps, cars passing etc..
