This sequence of 16 granular presets, paced at 2" each, is repeated 6 times, controlled by a score. The quasi-synch approach creates a series of modulating frequencies because of the quasi-periodicity established by the grain duration + delay. These modulating frequencies are centred at 200/N, for N = 3, 4, 5, ... 9 (i.e. 66.7, 50, 40, 33.3, 28.6, 25 and 22.2 Hz) which are subharmonics of the 200 Hz centre frequency, hence the sense of harmonic chords which is created. Note the various dur+delay combinations (e.g. 15 ms, 20 ms = 15 + 5 ms, 25 ms = 20 + 5 = 15 +10 ms, 30 ms = 25 + 5 = 20 + 10 = 15 + 15 ms, 35 ms = 30 + 5 = 25 + 10 = 20 + 15 ms, 40 = 30 + 10 = 25 + 15 ms, 45 = 30 + 15 ms).
