The Hazardous Materials Management Program at SFU has four primary objectives:

  1. To ensure the health and safety of all University Faculty, staff and students working with hazardous materials.

  2. To ensure compliance with applicable legislation.

  3. To set out the University's requirements for procurement, handling, storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials.

  4. To ensure faculty, staff and students receive proper training regarding the handling, storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous materials on campus.
