In order to order radionuclides, you or your supervisor must have a Radiation Safety Permit. All purchases must be approved and signed by someone from the Radiation Safety Office or the Biosciences Radionuclide Technician. In order for approval to be granted, the requisitioner must be a trained and approved user and the quantity of material must be such as not to exceed the possession limit indicated in the applicable internal permit.

Researchers should be aware that isotopes used routinely can be purchased on quote with some suppliers at a substantial savings. See the Biosciences Radionuclide Technician, in B7249, for assistance.
