International Travel Safety Registration System
SFU’s International Travel Safety Registration System was established to keep records of contact information and travel plans for SFU students, faculty and staff.
It is strongly recommended that every student participating in an international activity be registered with this database before their departure from Canada. SFU faculty and staff are also highly encouraged to register their travel.
- The information in the database enables the University to monitor student safety and locate and assist them in the event of an international incident.
- Students who are Canadian citizens are must also register with the Registry of Canadians Abroad. Students who are not Canadian citizens are strongly encouraged to register with their home country’s Foreign Affairs department/ministry.
