Southlands Elementary & Coquitlam Open Learning - May 14 2009

On Thursday May 14 2009 we hosted two groups in one workshop: 11 Grade 5/6 kids from Southlands Elementary, led by teacher Nazenin Rodriguez, and 19 kids ages 7-13 from Coquitlam Open Learning, ably organized by Rudi Leibik, and with many parents gamely participating! These groups were a treat to host, coming from so many backgrounds and ages, and so open to experiencing new people and activities! Many thanks to volunteers Brian Kootte, Michelle Murvai, Leigh Cummings (of the Vancouver RASC), Sherry Leung, and Grace Min, to parent Verlee Bromley for one of the pictures, and to Dr. Sophie Lavieri and Hoda Shahzadeh of Science in Action for the great pizza lunch!
