Starry Nights @ SFU: Astro Grads!
VCHEA - Tuesday May 26 2009

On Tuesday May 26 2009 we hosted 20 kids and parents, homeschoolers from the Vancouver Christian Home Educators Association (VCHEA), ably organized by Betty Bennett. The kids ranged in age from Grades K-7, and even the youngest tot keenly participated in all the activities! The volunteer hosts had an especially good time thanks in no small measure to the wacky sense of humour of the kids, which was well matched by their parents! Many thanks to volunteers Jennifer Kirkey (a physics and astronomy instructor at Douglas College), Leigh Cummings (of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada), Teresa Cheung, and Isaac Seo.
