SFU Conference and Guest Accommodations is located on the SFU Burnaby Campus.

Checking in?  We have guest parking (decal required) in the Residence Parking - main lot.  It is located near Shadbolt House and stalls are marked with "Hotel".

Directions to Guest Accommodations:

Arriving By Transit

From Horseshoe Bay Terminal

  • BC Translink buses stop outside the foot passenger arrivals terminal.
  • Take bus 257 VANCOUVER EXPRESS to the intersection of Georgia and Burrard
  • Walk back down Georgia to Burrard St and turn right on Burrard. Walk straight along Burrard to 135 SFU/Burrard Stn bus stop (just before Burrard and Dunsmuir)
  • Take the 135 SFU/Burrard Stn.
  • Depart bus at SFU Transportation Center Bay 2. You will   have just passed the 24 hour Information and Security building on the bus (just before you pass underneath the Rotunda building). Go inside and ask for directions to Residence and Housing.

From the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

  • BC Translink buses stop outside the foot passenger arrivals terminal.
  • Take Bus 620 Tsawwassen Ferry/Bridgeport Stn towards 620 Bridgeport Stn Via Ladner Exchange
  • Bridgeport Stn Bay 1- Walk to Bridgeport Stn Northbound
  • Bridgeport Stn Northbound- 980 Canada Line Skytrain- Platform sign CANADA LINE TO WATERFRONT
  • Get off at Waterfront Station, walk to Eastbound W Hastings  St Bus Stop (near Granville St)
  • Bus- 135 SFU/Burrard Stn towards 135 SFU
  • Depart bus at SFU Transportation Center Bay 2. You will   have just passed the 24 hour Information and Security building on the bus (just before you pass underneath the Rotunda building). Go inside and ask for directions to Residence and Housing.

From the Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

  • Visit translink website
  • Walk to Sea Island Centre Station Eastbound.
  • Take 980 Canada Line Skytrain- platform sign CANADA   LINE TO WATERFRONT
  • Get off at Waterfront Station, walk to Eastbound W Hastings  St Bus Stop (near Granville St)
  • Bus- 135 SFU/Burrard Stn towards 135 SFU
  • Depart bus at SFU Transportation Center Bay 2. You will   have just passed the 24 hour Information and Security building on the bus (just before you pass underneath the Rotunda building). Go inside and ask for directions to Residence and Housing.

Arriving By Vehicle

From Horseshoe Bay Terminal

  • VIEW THE GOOGLE MAP
  • Ferries unload onto Highway 1 East.
  • Continue on hwy 1 East until you reach the Gaglardi Exit (Exit 37). Follow Gaglardi Way straight (all the way up the mountain, straight through the lights with the SFU sign). Follow the road as it curves to the left.
  • You will see the 24 hour Information and Security building just before you pass underneath the Rotunda building. Park in   front here and go inside to ask for directions to Residence    and Housing.

From the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

  • VIEW THE GOOGLE MAP
  • Ferry disembarks onto Hwy 17.
  • Follow Hwy 17 to the exit for Hwy 99. Take Hwy 99 south/eastbound to Surrey and Seattle.
  • Follow Hwy 99 East until it intercepts Hwy 91.
  • Exit onto Hwy 91 northbound to New Westminster.
  • Follow Hwy 91 north over the Alex Fraser Bridge.
  • Once over the Bridge follow Hwy 91A to New Westminster.
  • Keep in the right lane of Hwy 91A as it continues over the Queensborough Bridge.
  • Stay in the right lane and exit onto Stewardson Way.
  • Follow Stewardson Way through New Westminster   switching to the left lane to continue as it becomes Columbia St.
  • Columbia St. becomes North Rd as you enter Burnaby.
  • Follow E. Columbia St./North Rd. to Lougheed Highway.
  • Turn left onto Lougheed Highway.
  • Turn right onto Gaglardi Way. Signs will indicate you are on  the correct route for Simon Fraser University.
  • Follow Gaglardi Way all the way up Burnaby Mountain to SFU.
  • The first building you will see is the 24 hour Information and Security Office. You can park temporarily in front. Go in and    ask directions to Residence and Housing.

From the Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

  • VIEW THE GOOGLE MAP
  • Take the main road out of the airport following signs to Vancouver/New Westminster and proceed over the Arthur Laing Bridge. Follow the signs to Marine Drive (East).
  • Continue on Marine Drive until you reach Boundary Road.
  • Turn left and head North on Boundary Road.
  • Turn right onto Hastings St.
  • Follow Hastings St. East watching for signs directing traffic to SFU.
  • Stay in the right lane as Hastings St. forks. Hastings St. becomes Burnaby Mountain Parkway as it heads up    Burnaby Mountain to the University.
  • Turn left where Burnaby Mountain Parkway meets Gaglardi Way. This is the entrance to the University.
  • The first building you will see is the 24 hour Information and Security Office. You can park temporarily in front. Go in and    ask directions to Residence and Housing.
