May 16, 2019 - GenomeBC Information Session

Institutional Strategic Awards will be hosting GenomeBC’s Jayce Sudweeks (Genomics and Society Advisor) for an information session on a new funding opportunity through GenomeBC: Genomics in Society Interdisciplinary Research Teams.  

This program aims to bring together interdisciplinary teams investigating the advancement, adoption, evaluation, and governance of genomics research at the intersection of genomics in society. Example projects might include climate change genomics (mitigation of and/or adaptation to); food sustainability; uptake of genomic technologies by Indigenous communities; new gene technologies (e.g., gene editing/gene drives); genomics in infectious disease response; etc. GenomeBC expects to fund three awards, each at ~$1M over four years.

The first step is a one-page registration due May 30th.
