Fall 2015 term deadlines

Classes: add/swap/change tutorial

September 14 (Monday) Last day to add classes, swap classes, change tutorials using the Student Information System
September 21 (Monday) Last day to enroll for class challenge or switch your challenge from one class to another or regular enrollment in a class, with permission of the department. (You can’t withdraw from class challenge without substituting a regular class.)
September 28 (Monday)
Last day to add classes through the department, with permission of the chair and instructor. Last day to change tutorials through the department. Last day to change a class to audit status.

September 14 (Monday)
Last day to completely withdraw from all classes with no notation on your academic record.
September 21 (Monday)
Last day to drop a class using the Student Information System, without a withdrawal notation of “WD” for the course on your academic record. If withdrawing from all classes, a withdrawal notation of “Withdrew YYYY-MM-DD” will be added to your academic record. 
October 12 (Monday)
Last day to drop a class using the Student Information System, with a withdrawal notation (WD) on your academic record.
December 7 (Monday)
Last day to apply to drop classes in the current term under extenuating circumstances (WE). (Applications received after this date will be considered retroactive and may take longer to process.)

Fees: payment and refunds/penalties

Payment
September 21 (Monday) Deadline to pay tuition and student fees. A 2% late fee penalty will be assessed after the due date and on the first of each month thereafter. 
October 27 (Tuesday) Deadline to pay Co-op Practicum fees.

Refunds/penalties
September 14 (Monday) Last day for 100% refund of tuition.
September 21 (Monday) Last day for 75% refund of tuition. Last day for refund of student fees.
September 28 (Monday) Last day for 50% refund of tuition. No refund of student fees.
September 29 (Tuesday) No refund for courses dropped. A tuition drop penalty will be calculated and posted to your student account in the third week of classes. A 2% late fee penalty will be assessed after tuition deadline and on the first of each month thereafter.
October 23 (Friday) and every month thereafter If you have not enrolled in direct deposit, refund cheques requested for overpayment (which are not related to scholarships and bursaries*) are available for pickup at Burnaby campus, unless payment has been made by personal cheque (which requires a 45 day clearance period).

Grades online

December 9 (Wednesday) Online posting of grades from Fall term begins.

Graduation application/cancellation

September 8 (Tuesday) Deadline to cancel application to graduate in October 2015 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in the Summer 2015 term.
October 23 (Friday) Early deadline to apply and pay for the early application fee on the Student Information System for graduation in June 2016 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in the Fall 2015 term. Note that the graduation fee will be charged for each degree, diploma and certificate for which you are applying.
December 18 (Friday) Final deadline to apply and pay for the regular application fee on the Student Information System for graduation in June 2016 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in the Fall 2015 term. Note that the graduation fee will be charged for each degree, diploma and certificate for which you are applying.
January 5 2016 (Tuesday) Deadline to cancel application to graduate in June 2016 convocation ceremonies, if you are completing degree requirements in the Fall 2015 term.
