Important Notice

Integrity and fairness are key principles of the electoral process. In the last number of days, the Senate Electoral Standing Committee (ESC) received five complaints: two from undergraduate candidates running for one of eleven (11) student positions on Senate, and three from students eligible to vote in this election. The complaints allege a violation of the election rules by an undergraduate candidate. To ensure the outcome of the election is fair for all candidates, the ESC is investigating these complaints and expects to complete its review within the next 14-18 days. During this time, the ESC decided to suspend the counting of votes for one (1) position affected until its review is concluded and a decision is reached about the complaints. The Electoral Officer has secured the ballots until the review is completed, at which time we will inform you of the results. Election results not affected by the complaints are listed below.

We appreciate your patience and understanding to ensure the results of the election are fair.
