FASS Surrey Senior Peer Mentor

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) wants to develop a community of resilient and thriving student leaders who will have the qualities that enable them to excel socially, academically and psychologically.

The mission of the FASS Friends and Mentors (FaM) program is to provide newly admitted FASS students to the Surrey campus with an enriching and supportive space, helping them thrive and feel a sense of belonging in the vibrant Arts and Social Sciences community. As a volunteer Senior Mentor, you will provide support, guidance and coaching to two new peer mentors, helping them to facilitate small group sessions for new FASS students, and act as a liaison between the Coordinator and Peer Leaders.

Working in conjunction with the Coordinator and campus partners, Senior Mentors will also learn and develop content to be delivered at the weekly FaM meetings, training the Peer Mentors on the material to be delivered.
