Celebrating undergraduate research at SFU

The Undergraduate Research Symposium (UGRS) is a campus-wide, interdisciplinary showcase and celebration of the high-quality and diverse undergraduate research produced at SFU. This year, over 50 undergraduate researchers from across disciplines will present their research. 

Come see some of the ways SFU undergrads are changing the world!

This year's event 

The 2024 UGRS will feature:

  • a keynote presentation by Diana Bedoya (SFU Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology)
  • an afternoon of faculty-moderated student presentations
  • a panel discussion: "Demystifying Grad School: Real Experiences and Q&A"
  • a photovoice exhibit investigating undergraduate academic success in 2024
  • a lively poster and networking session to conclude the day
  • prizes and refreshments.

 The UGRS is a collaboration between the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, Graduate Studies and SFU Library.
