New Students registered at SFU are welcomed to the university through New Student Orientation. At New Student Orientation we will walk with you as you take your first steps as a new SFU student and will provide you with the tools to launch your university career. Over the course of the orientation program, you will have the opportunity to learn about the people, places, activities, and resources that are available for you at SFU.

The Student Ambassador Program is a program unique to SFU Surrey. It is an umbrella program for all of the different kinds of volunteer activities that students get involved with to build our campus community. It aims to recognize students for their participation, initiative and leadership.

Campus activities brings students, staff and Faculty together to help build the Surrey campus community, and offers opportunities for social connections! Student Life events range from Week of Welcome, Movie Nights, De-Stress Fest and community initiatives. The SFU Food Bank offers support at the Surrey campus through an information and referral service.
We welcome students to contact us in person, via email, or via phone so we can provide them with more information on off campus food banks that are fully equipped to support students.
