Surrey Student Life aims to provide SFU Surrey students with opportunities and support for their personal and academic development, their connection to others and to the university, and their involvement in shaping their campus community, through the following:

Fall 2015 Welcome Day- TBD: More information to come!

New Students registered at SFU are welcomed to the university at Welcome Day. At Welcome Day we will walk with you as you take your first steps as a new SFU student and will provide you with the tools to launch your university career. Over the course of the day, you will have the opportunity to learn about the people, places, activities, and resources that are available for you at SFU.

The Student Ambassador Program acts as an umbrella program for student involvement opportunities that contribute to the students’ personal and professional development and to build a greater sense of community on campus. Opportunities that are recognized through this program are short-term events affiliated with SFU and involve one or more SFU staff member(s). By creating this platform of opportunities, we aim to make this a starting point for students to get involved on campus.

The Student Ambassador Program is currently experiencing a re-structure and moving to a new platform. Look for the new and improved Student Ambassador Program coming late-Fall 2014. More information coming soon!

Campus activities brings students together to help  build the Surrey campus community, and offers opportunities for social connections! Student Life organizes and supports events such as  Information Session, Welcome Day, Week of Welcome, and De-Stress Fest. 

The Student Life office serves as a resource for students, student groups, and departments, providing information and referrals, liaising to bring information and services to the Surrey campus, and assisting with activities and initiatives that support students. Contact us if you have any questions.
