About the Program
YOU CAN BE PART OF THE SOLUTION. BE A SUSTAINABILITY AMBASSADOR
It is our honor to invite staff to participate in an innovative sustainability education and culture change program. Ambassadors play a unique role as sustainability educators and advocates within their departments. They are the connection between the SFU Sustainability Advisory Committee and the campus community. Ambassadors volunteer 2-4 hours a month during work time and receive support and resources to carry out their roles.
KC Bell, Director, Special Projects in the Office of the President and Co-Chair of the Sustainability Advisory Committee, thanks the current and future ambassadors for their work on our energy conservation initiative in the following letter.

How to apply:
- Fill out the attached registration form and email it to Candace Le Roy (Bonfield) at candace_leroy@sfu.ca
- Once your registration form has been received and reviewed you will be contacted to set up a short 20-30 minute orientation
- Following the orientation your name will be placed on the Sustainability Ambassador training list and you will be introduced to the Ambassador Team. The next training takes place in July (date and time TBA). New ambassadors may participate in the current educational campaign immediately after orientation. They are not required to wait till training has been completed.
- Sustainability Ambassadors recently completed implementing a PaperSmart challenge campaign and will start a PlasticsFree campaign for Earth Month at SFU in March.
