Audition with Premier

Week 5 Lesson Plan:

This lesson we will start by showing you some examples of some videos which use excellent audio with their video in unique ways. We will be looking at scenes from some motion pictures as well as movie trailers. Then we will show you how you can start using Audition to put audio to video.

Skills:
We%27ll show you how to bring in video from your Premier projects and put audio to them. We will show you how to synch video and audio tracks, as well as have a review of the content covered in the Audition tutorial last semester. We%27ll review audio concepts such as amplitude, dB, frequency, wave lengths, reverb, artifacts, distortion and formats, etc.

Concepts:
We%27ll review the Tool Bars and all Tools, Menus, Timelines, Video Dock, Filters, and other Audition interface features and explain their functions.

We%27ll cover the use of enveloping to control amplitude and panning throughout the timeline.

Then we will demonstrate 5 of the often-used Audition shortcuts.

Finally we%27ll cover the 5.1 sound editor and show how to control audio around a THX 5.1 Surround Sound system.
