Introduction to Audio and Audio Editing<br><br>Week 4 Lesson Plan:<br> <br>This lesson, we will start by going through Audition's applications in the industry and showing you some related inspirational links.<br> <br> Skills:<br> We'll introduce audio concepts such as amplitude, dB, frequency, wave lengths, reverb, artifacts, distortion and formats, etc.<br><br> Concepts:<br>We'll introduce the Tool Bars and all Tools, Menus, Timelines, Video Dock, Filters, and other Audition interface features and explain their functions.<br> <br>Concepts: <br>We'll introduce the use of enveloping to control amplitude and panning throughout the timeline.<br> <br>Then we will demonstrate 5 of the often-used Audition shortcuts.<br> <br>Finally we'll introduce the 5.1 sound editor and show how to control audio around a THX 5.1 Surround Sound system.<br><br> Exercise: <br>We'll go through the Audition tutorial together.<br> <br> Wrap-up<br>We'll remind you of the resources available and briefly go through the ones posted. As well, there will be time for students to ask questions and play around in the software.
