Introduction to Web Publishing - Intro to XHTML<br><br>Week 6 Lesson Plan:<br><br>This week, we will begin with some applications of XHTML in the industry (basically any website) and then show you some related inspirational links.<br> <br>Skills: <br>We'll introduce tags and explain how they work. We will cover html tags, head tags, body tags, table tags, tr tags, tb tags, br tags, img src tags and a href tags.<br> <br> <br>Concepts:<br>We'll explain how different browsers on different platforms very often render html differently. <br> <br> We will introduce W3 Standards and talk about the benefits and disadvantages of hand-coding XHTML.<br><br>Exercise:<br>We'll create a simple website using text, links and some images.<br> <br> Wrap-up:<br> <br>We'll remind you of the resources available and briefly go through the ones posted. As well, there will be time for students to ask questions and play around in the software.
