Welcome to the Technology Learning Series (TLS). This series of on-line and f2f tutorials (led by undergrad student mentors), offers introductory level skills in the software essential to completion of your IAT 100 assignments and projects.
- if you know little of software used in this course, you'll want to attend all sessions
- if you have some software experience, you may need tutorials as refreshers
- if you have advanced software skills, you may not need the tutorials at all
Each week of IAT 100, there will be a number of TLS tutorials scheduled - all with the same content. You'll only need to attend one session in the week unless you want a repeat.
- for most students, a TLS session will occur during the workshop time in alternate weeks (weeks 2, 4, 6, etc)
- if you don't need the tutorial, you'll have the option of working on your assignment during the tutorial time
- if you miss a tutorial during your own class time, you can drop into another tutorial time slot
The TLS will be scheduled at the following times:
In Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 in Labs 225 and/or 655:
Mon 10:00 - 11:20 (2 sessions)
Mon 3:00 - 4:20 (2 sessions)
Mon 7:00 - 8:20
Tues 10:00 - 11:20 (2 sessions)
Tues 3:00 - 4:20 (2 sessions)
Tues 7:00 - 8:20
Thurs 10:00 - 11:20 (2 sessions)
