  • Interested in accessing real funds, resources, expert training and exclusive networks to get started?

"It has inspired a lifestyle change and reshaped the way I think" - Joseph Fredrick, Economics

"I have a much more open mindset now and I’m way more flexible than I used to be” - Rachel Chase, Beedie

"The Tech-E program was the highlight of my entire academic career. This program has opened so many opportunities for me, and substantially aided my pursuit of entrepreneurship" -Ryan Threlfall, Mechatronics Systems Engineering (MSE)

High impact entrepreneurship happens when inspired ideas and strong teams are supercharged with hands-on training, mentorship, resources and funding, and what makes those teams strong is complementary knowledge and talent. The Beedie School of Business and Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE) from the Faculty of Applied Sciences have come together for the Technology Entrepreneurship@SFU.

Through the tech e@sfu program, SFU’s brightest third and fourth year Mechatronics , Business and Entrepreneurship students are brought together to develop a market-inspired and solution-driven technological product and pitch for the funds to take it from bench-top to market.

Note: Please note that as of 2016, Tech e@SFU is also open to students from all faculties who are registered in the Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and will be ready to take the two entrepreneurship capstones (BUS 477 & BUS 406) with the rest of their cohort.

Interested business, entrepreneurship cerificate and mechatronics students are encouraged to check out the program details and apply.

Applications for the 2019-2020 Cohort are now OPEN! Spaces are limited, so apply soon!
