BACKGROUND
On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, Terry's CAUSE on Campus takes place at Simon Fraser University, when the community celebrates Terry Fox' legacy of fundraising support for cancer research by hosting an annual walk/run event .
The newly branded walk/run – along with suggestions from past participants – have inspired the SFU Terry Fox Day Organizing Committee to invite input from the SFU community-at-large to take a look at our traditional event at Burnaby campus and determine how best to maximize participation and fundraising through updated means.
During the week of June 3 to 7, 2013, the Organizing Committee invites you to brainstorm with them during lunch-hour sessions, 12 noon to 1 pm, in Maggie Benston Centre 2000 (Thelma Finlayson Engagement Centre. See dates below).
Event details and parameters will be provided at each session. Recommendations culled from the brainstorming sessions will be submitted to the Organizing Committee for consideration by Friday, June 21, 2013 and for possible implementation in SFU's Burnaby event in September.
Thank you.
