Assessment: Why, What, When, Who, Where and How?

A panel discussion with Barbara Frisken (Physics), Kevin Oldknow (Mechatronic Systems Engineering), Mike Sjoerdsma (Engineering Science), and Sarah Louise Turner (Teaching and Learning Centre). Facilitator: Daria Ahrensmeier (TLC).

Join our interdisciplinary panel of experienced instructors as they discuss key considerations in designing assessments. Discuss both strategies and philosophies around creating assessment that supports student learning, tests what you really want your students to learn, and is manageable within a reasonable timeframe. We’ll even explore creative assessment and talk about some innovative strategies faculty members across the University have recently experimented with.

Registration is not required, but doing so will help us ensure that we have enough coffee and cookies for everyone!
