Smartphone Video Production

Videos can be a powerful tool to communicate ideas and content in ways that engage students. And with today’s proliferation of smartphones and related apps, creating them has never been easier.

In this workshop, you will learn what video recording apps are available for your iPhone or Android phone and how to use them, as well as simple, but important, recording skills to ensure you produce the best-quality product possible. You will also learn how to create basic video edits.

Depending on your interest, you can then apply these skills to create instructional or resource videos, lecture recordings, interviews, in-the-field videos, or to create video-based assignments for your students.

Please be aware that minimal editing will be taught in this workshop. If you would like to learn more advanced video editing, please see the Editing and Screencasting workshop.
