Improperly formatted addresses may not be readable by Canada Post's equipment and can result in delivery delays. In most cases, the proper format for mail to be addressed to a Canadian University would be as follows:

CANADA (For international mail only)
Municipality, Province and Postal Code should always appear on the same line and will always be the bottom line of the address block (except for mail to be delivered outside Canada). The province should be identified by the official two-letter abbreviation.

The postal code should appear on the same line as the municipality and province, and be separated from the province by TWO SPACES.
eg. Ottawa ON K1A 0B1
The country name should be used only on mail to be delivered outside Canada and stands alone at the bottom of the address block.
