For Simon Fraser University, 2012 was a year of success and growth. Ranked as Canada’s top comprehensive university and one of the world’s top 30 universities under 50 years old, SFU was named as one of our country’s top 20 family-friendly employers for the sixth consecutive year, and formally began competing as the first Canadian member of the NCAA.

It was also a year where SFU faculty, staff, students and alumni continued the university’s proud tradition of cutting-edge research, innovative education and far-reaching community engagement.

The Best of SFU celebrates the university's outstanding accomplishments each year through annual round-ups of Simon Fraser University News highlights, press releases, online news items and SFU People in the News reports.
