Syrian peace envoy asks UN for help

A peace envoy with the UN-Arab League has asked the UN Security Council to intervene in the Syrian conflict. There are new reports of massacres and increased violence occurring. The latest incident details the discovery in northern Syria of more than 60 bodies allegedly with hands tied behind their backs. SFU’s Andre Gerolymatos, an international security expert, says: “Syria can become an intractable problem with no solution in the near future.”
