Further proof that B.C.'s economy is becoming increasingly robust arrives this week with the Business Career Expo, the largest business-focused student career fair in the province, taking place at Simon Fraser University’s Segal Graduate School of Business.

Over 60 hiring companies and more than 1,000 job-seeking business students from the province’s three largest universities will be in attendance at the March 7 event. The Business Career Expo is one of the top indicators that recruiting the best and the brightest is still a top priority for companies in B.C.

Some of the globally recognized corporations in attendance will include PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, and the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA). Attendees can also expect representatives from Canada’s major financial institutions, including BMO, Scotiabank, RBC, TD Canada Trust and CIBC.

The Business Career Expo is jointly held by SFU’s Beedie School of Business, UBC’s Sauder School of Business and UVic’s Peter B. Gustavson School of Business.

The event is an excellent platform for hiring companies to showcase their organizations, establish a profile amongst students and make personal contact with highly qualified individuals. Undergraduate business students, graduate students and recent alumni have the opportunity to learn about some of B.C.’s top employers.
