Temporarily Urbane, the Urban Studies Podcast
We just launched our new podcast, Temporarily Urbane. Our first episode is called "Sticking Your Neck Out" and features a discussion among three URB alums who have had the experience of running for elected office. Our initial series of six episodes will be released weekly over the next six weeks. Called "Leaders of the New Urban Careers," the series features conversations with notable Urban Studies alumni about the spaces they are carving out in the world of urban work after completing their Urban Studies credential. We hope you will take the time to have a listen.
Please listen and subscribe to be kept up to date with our newest epidodes. Many thanks to our amazing student podcast producer, Aman Chandi, to Gord McGladdery for the sound, to all the students and alumni whose voices and ideas are featured, to the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue for hosting our podcast studio, and to the SFU Student Learning Experience for financial support.
Have an idea for an episode? Want to try something out in the podcast studio? Please let us know. The Urban Studies podcast is a resource for knowledge mobilization that we want to be open to our extended community. We will be collecting ideas and scheduling podcast recording workshops for students so that you can make good use of this new channel for urban dialogue!
