November - Jami Macarty and Marguerite Pigeon

Jami Macarty is the author of two chapbooks of poetry: Landscape of The Wait (Finishing Line Press, June 2017) and Mind of Spring, winner of the 2017 Vallum Chapbook Award (forthcoming fall 2017). The Executive Director of Tucson Poetry Festival from 1996-2005, she currently teaches contemporary poetry and creative writing for The Writer’s Studio and Southbank Writer’s Program at Simon Fraser University, is co-founder and editor of the online poetry journal The Maynard, writes Peerings & Hearings–Occasional Musings on Arts in the City of Glass, a blog series for Anamolous Press (FKA Drunken Boat) and is a community advocate entirely devoted to the production and promotion of literary arts.



Marguerite Pigeon is the author of three books. Her first poetry collection, Inventory, was a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Award, and her short story collection, Some Extremely Boring Drives, was nominated for a ReLIt Award. Marguerite is now at work on a book-length poem about fashion, The Endless Garment: A pocket epic. Originally from Blind River, Ontario, she currently lives in Vancouver.
