Sheryda Warrener

Sheryda Warrener is the author of two poetry collections. Hard Feelings (Snare, 2010) and Floating is Everything (Nightwood, 2015). Her work can be found online or in print in EventGrainHazlittThe Malahat ReviewThe Believer, among others. She has been shortlisted for the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry, the Arc Magazine Poem of the Year, and the Malahat Review Long Poem Prize. Currently, she is a lecturer in the Creative Writing program at UBC, and facilitates the Artspeak Studio for Emerging Writers, where she mentors students who are interested in the possibilities at the intersection of language and visual art. Originally from Grimbsy, Ontario, she lives in Vancouver.


Joseph Denham

Joe Denham is the author of a novel, The Year of Broken Glass, and 3 books of poetry. His most recent book, Regeneration Machine, won the 2016 Canadian Authors Association Award for Poetry, and was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Award. His forthcoming book of poetry, Landfall, is due out in the fall of 2017, as is his first album of songs, Lost at Sea. He is currently writing a non-fiction account of his 20-year career working as a fishboat captain in BC entitled, As They Swim: Fishing for A Living on the Westcoast of Canada as Ocean-life Approaches Extinction.
