Shazia Hafiz Ramji lives on unceded Coast Salish land where she is the poetry editor for Prism international magazine. She is the recipient of the 2017 Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry and was shortlisted for the 2016 National Magazine Awards. Her poetry has recently appeared in Canadian Literature and filling Station, and her first chapbook is Prosopopoeia (Anstruther Press, 2017). She is a graduate of The Writer's Studio 2015 and is an MFA student at UBC. Shazia will appear at the Cascadia Poetry Festival in October 2017. On June 1, she will guide a reading group for Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace and she urges you to join.



Elaine Woo's recent poetry appears in Grain Magazine, CWILA's S/tick, NationalPoetryMonth2017: Angel House Press, the Ottawa Poetry Newsletter, and hand and poetry.  She is the author of Cycling with the Dragon, Nightwood Editions. A second poetry manuscript is searching for a new home. Elaine is also a librettist, currently working on a rock opera focussed on women's precarious situation historically and now. She will be co-interviewing Lorna Crozier and fellow Nightwood author Michelle Elrick on May 25 on World Poetry Cafe, Co-op Radio. She is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's creative writing program.
