Aquaculture Innovation Workshop 2017: Thursday Morning - Colin Brauner

Innovations in Technology & Husbandry Research
Speaker: Colin Brauner, University of British Columbia
Seminar: The effect of salinity and photoperiod on Atlantic and coho salmon growth, maturation and physiological performance in RAS (24 h and 12:12)

Aquaculture Innovation Workshops (AIW) provides an opportunity for aquaculture producers, scientists, engineers, aquaculture industry suppliers, regulators and investors to communicate progress on the technical, biological and economic feasibility of culturing fish – particularly salmon – to post-smolt or market size in closed-containment systems using floating or recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology. These international summits have been hosted by The Conservation Fund's Freshwater Institute, Tides Canada, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, and the Atlantic Salmon Federation.

This year's event covers topics ranging from investment and economics of land-based aquaculture, industry innovations in closed-containment systems, effective market messages, the latest technology and husbandry research, and much more.
