Search Timeline

The search for a new dean can be a lengthy process. A consultative process with significant participation from stakeholders is essential to ensuring the search committee finds and recommends the best candidate to lead Lifelong Learning. Input provided by our faculty, staff, students and community partners is invaluable and the timeline below describes your opportunities to participate.

January 2018: The search committee for the Dean, Lifelong Learning is formed.

Wednesday, January 17, 2018: An Open Forum is held to request feedback on the qualities, opportunities and challenges, and nominations for a new Dean.

Spring 2018: The position description will be finalized and applications will be invited for the position. 

March 2018: The search committee begins reviewing possible candidates. Nominations from interested parties are welcomed.

April 2018: Interviews are held for shortlisted candidates.

May 2018: The search committee recommends the preferred candidate to the President.

Vice-President, Academic and Provost Dr. Peter Keller held an Open Forum with the community on Wednesday, January 17 to invite comments from the community regarding the opportunities, challenges, qualifications and characteristics of the next Dean of Lifelong Learning.
