Search Timeline

The search for a new Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Learning and Teaching may span several months to allow for a comprehensive search. A consultative process with significant participation from stakeholders is essential to ensuring the search committee finds and recommends the best candidate. Input provided by our faculty, staff, students and the community is invaluable and the timeline below describes your opportunities to participate.

September 2017: Members of the search committee are elected, selected, and appointed according to Policy GP 29.

Friday, October 20, 2017: An Open Forum takes place from 10:00am - 11:30am in WAC Bennett Library, room 7200; Surrey campus, room 5060; and Harbour Centre, room 2270. 

Early November 2017: The position description will be finalized and a call for applications will be made.

December 2017 and January 2018: Potential candidates are identified and discussed by the search committee. 

Early February 2018: Interviews are held for shortlisted candidates. 

Friday, February 16, 2018: The search committee recommends the preferred candidate to the President.
